Lesser Known Holidays

This is a list of lesser known holidays. It is constantly growing and open to suggestions.

The goal is to list a lesser known holiday for each day of the year. Some are pretty silly and need to be amended and others need a full description written, but as the list grows it will become more and more complete.

i have updated some of the code and fixed a few minor bugs. I have also made available the next five holidays as an RSS feed, so if you are useing a newsreader you can subscribe that way as well.

i'm always looking for more holidays and descriptions, your suggestions are always welcome.

This is exactly what I'm looking for, but it looks like the calendar is gone? The php page generates a blank page for me, and iCal won't subscribe.

This is one *sweet* iCal... I synchronize it with my Palm (along with my real calendar) every day so I can see the random holiday of the day... a few weeks ago I made a point of telling people at work that it was National Beheading Day. :-)
