Great Calendar!

I love the notes! I am not Orthodox, but some of the students in the Bible study my hubby and I run are, and the notes are great for helping us to explain some of the major events to our non-Orthodox students! Thanks for all your hard work!!!

I will try to add Saint Feast Days also, and may just submit it as a different calendar. I've been trying to find time to sit down and add more text and info. Hopefully soon. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you very much.

I'm hoping to give the calander a major update soon. Lately, I need an extra 2 hours every day.

there's a lot of information that is missing, is there a way to add to this calendar? so far everytime I tried doing this, it said that the calendar is read-only.

Thank you.

The read only aspect

I have been trying to find the time to add to the calendar, and because the dates change for some of the Feast Days, I have to manually add them instead of making them recurring events.

My computer had a glitch that I just noticed yesterday, in which it erased any additions I made to the calendar (including my personal appointments and events) since my last isync.

Because I am the calendar owner and publisher, you yourself can not add. If there are specific dates you'd like to see added, feel free to email me and I will try to add.

Things have been very hectic as of late, and I'm trying to add as much as I can.

Please bear with me

Thank you to everyone who has downloaded my calendar. There seems to be some type of problem with events not showing up on the website. January has many feast days, and they are on my computer, but for some reason are not appearing on icalshare. I plan on updating everything at the beginning of next week and hope to have the problem resolved.
Thanks again,

Eastern? Greek version?
Posted by yannis on January 5, 2009 @ 10:35AM
Hi, I like very much the idea of having an iCal calendar of orthodox feasts, bravo! I find it strange that you haven't included Eastern, which is the most important one... You can find all the relevant dates on <http://www.eortologio.gr/arthra/pasxa.php?year=2009>

Eastern Dates
Posted by MysteryGirl on July 7, 2009 @ 9:07PM
Yiannis,

Thank you very much for the offer, but right now to keep data at a minimum for most PDA's, I have the calendar only in English. I can also publish one in Greek, or perhaps add.

I think I already did answer about the Date for Holy Pascha - there was a glitch in the transfer of data from the previous computer to my new one which changed this years dates for Pascha. I don't want to repeat myself, but I think I did mention that I have usually included within the notes, the future dates up to 10 years ahead of OUR Holy Pascha.

And as you read, there were other circumstances to my delay in updating. Sorry if it inconvenienced everyone. I am now updating and will add even more feast days and text.

May God always look down upon us and keep us, our loved ones and the world safe during these turbulent times.

Thank you again. Input is ALWAYS appreciated!

My calendar has always had the official Orthodox date for Holy Pascha - I have not had a chance to update for quite a while - circumstances. I am hoping to update all within the next few days and take it to at least 18months ahead. I have always included a listing in the notations for Holy Pascha on the future dates usually going 10 years ahead

I know what happened! Eureka!

I just realized that after I bought my new Mac, some things "floated" into another category. The Apple Store transferred all of my data (which I had backed up) to my new MacBook Pro - their cables only took 3 hours. It would have taken mine 15.

iCal also has a quirk that will NOT update your calendar if it's subscribed - through "mobile me." If you have a newer computer, iPod or iPhone you must hit the "Manual" update. I wish they'd "fix" this.
