Our Mission Statement

We believe God’s mission for the First Christian Church is to be and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, witnessing and serving from our doorsteps “to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

Vision Statement

We believe that God is calling the First Christian Church to care for the mental, physical, and spiritual welfare of our greater world community by becoming more service-oriented and mission-minded.

We commit to fulfilling this calling by:

Increasing our outreach involvement in the local community as well as globally through mission actions and support. Caring for our church family and all who visit First Christian Church.
As we grow into a more diverse congregation, we will continue to seek God’s help to strengthen our attitude of Christian fellowship and our willingness to work together.

Looking to God for clarity and direction, we are united by our faith in Him and our mission of service.

Value Statements

WE BELIEVE:

God Is The Creator
We believe that God is the creator of all things.
He loves and cares for us and is evident in our world today.

Jesus Is The Son Of God
We believe Jesus is the Son of God.
He died on the cross and rose from the dead, giving eternal life to all believers who admit their sins and seek his forgiveness.

The Holy Spirit Enables Us
We believe that the Holy Spirit enables us to be Christ-like in the way we live our lives, in our relationships with others, and as we care for our community and world.

The Bible Is The Word Of God
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God that tells His story. It serves as a guide for living in the world, working through life problems, and sharing our faith with others.

Baptism Is A Sign Of Our Acceptance Of Jesus As Savior
We believe that Baptism is a public confirmation of an individual’s acceptance of Jesus as the Savior.

Communion Is A Reminder Of God’s Gift Of His Son
We believe in celebrating Holy Communion each time we worship, in remembrance of Jesus, and welcome all believers to participate.

Spiritual Growth Is Our Responsibility
We believe that we have a responsibility to grow spiritually by
committing to prayer, worship, personal study and group discussion.

Goal Statement

The goal of First Christian Church is to have 100% of the people who call this congregation home involved in at least one mission
or ministry that is aligned with the mission, vision and beliefs of
the church.

We invite you to join us in this divine journey.
