Add Your MUG Calendar To iCalShare!

• Want to quickly and easily publish your MUG calendar?
• Distribute last-minute meeting changes instantly?
• Get more exposure for your MUG?

With iCal and iCalShare, it's all possible. No more building and maintaining web-based calendars. No more sending out email reminders. Just make changes to your calendar in iCal and they're instantly broadcast to all of your subscribers. You don't have to do a thing!

Too, once your calendar is ready, you can list it on iCalShare! Our directory of iCal calendars contains over 1500 calendars in more than 35 different categories. iCalShare even has a special category for MUGs, so it's a great way to get more exposure for your user group!

The service is FREE and easy to use. Even better, you can be up-and-running in just three easy steps!

1. Create your calendar using iCal.
2. Publish it using a .Mac account (or other calendar hosting service).
3. Add your calendar to iCalShare!

Once we've received your calendar, we'll post it within 2 - 3 days. In the meantime, feel free to add an iCalShare banner to your MUG's website! ;)

MUG CALENDAR FAQ

What do I need to publish my MUG calendar?
+ Mac OS X v10.2 or later
+ iCal 1.0.2 or later
+ .Mac account (optional)

Do I need a .Mac account to publish my calendar?
Not necessarily. iCal supports calendar publishing to any webDAV-enabled server. You may wish to check out iCalExchange.com which offers free calendar hosting. It's also possible to upload your calendar manually, using FTP.

Can my website users access my calendar without iCal?
Yes. If you publish your calendar using .Mac, Apple provides a web-based calendar viewer, which you can easily link to from your website. Alternately, if you publish your calendars using some other means than .Mac, you can link to iCalShare's calendar viewer accessible from the 'Preview Calendar' link on your calendar's page (sample).

How quickly do subscribers receive updates?
When subscribing to your calendar, users get set their updating preference. They're also free to update your calendar manually, at any time.

Does iCalShare charge for calendar sharing?
No. Sharing a calendar on iCalShare is free and always will be. Donations are certainly welcome, though.

Can I add other, non-MUG related calendars to iCalShare?
Absolutely! Go for it. That's why we have over 30 other calendar categories on iCalShare! :)

Help! I have more questions about publishing my calendar.
Try reading our main FAQ page. If you can't find the answer there, just email us. There's also a nice article about calendar sharing written by Nicholas Pyers (from the Aussie mac user group AUSOM).
